Tony Blair Responds To Oxfam Campaigners

Rebecca Haslam, an Outreach Volunteer, and Lisa Rutherford from the London Campaigns Office, rapped on the door of Number 10 and delivered 86,000 I'm in names and a letter to Tony Blair. Photo: Oxfam

You've got mail:
Tony Blair responds to Oxfam campaigners

Last year 40 million people successfully campaigned against poverty. Rich countries promised debt cancellation for 40 countries and £27 billion more aid, already this has changed lives.

This year we want more.

We want developing countries to get the six million more health workers and teachers they desperately need.

It's still absolutely crucial to keep the pressure up on the richest countries to make sure they don't lose sight of the promises they made in 2005.
We didn't see much progress on poverty at the 2006 G8 Summit, but there is a real chance the fight against poverty could be back at the heart of the agenda at the 2007 summit in Germany.

You can help.
What You Can Do

Help Oxfam and its allies keep the pressure up on Tony Blair and other world leaders. Say "I'm in" to the fight against poverty. Say "I'm in" by signing this petition calling for more aid, better spent, on health care and education for the poorest people in the world

Oxfam

Tony Blair means well and his appeal is from his heart and soul. But I doubt the integrity of the other world leaders and here in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, scores of innocent poverty-stricken Nigerians have been shot and killed by soldiers of the Nigerian Army on the Shoot-at-sight order of President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria in his desperation to stop the operations of militants in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. And the oil producing states are still wallowing in abject poverty while Nigerian politicians are busy witch-hunting and assassinating themselves.

Tony Blair must not be fooled by the lip service of President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria.

How can we fight against poverty in a state of chaos?

Religion In The Dock In Muslim Vilification Appeal

IT IS impossible to vilify Islam without also vilifying Muslims, because the two are indistinguishable, the Victorian Court of Appeal was told yesterday.
"If one vilifies Islam, one is by necessary consequence vilifying people who hold that religious belief," Brind Woinarski, QC, told the court.

Mr Woinarski was appearing for the Islamic Council of Victoria in the appeal by Christian group Catch the Fire Ministries and pastors Danny Nalliah and Daniel Scot against a finding under Victoria's religious hatred law that they vilified Muslims in 2002. The Racial and Religious Tolerance Act defines vilification as inciting hatred, serious contempt, revulsion or severe ridicule against a person or class of persons.

Cameron Macaulay, for the pastors, argued that the act explicitly confined the prohibition to vilifying persons, not the religion — otherwise it could operate as a law against blasphemy. Instead, it recognised one could hate the idea without hating the person.

Justice Geoffrey Nettle asked Mr Woinarski: "There must be intellectually a distinction between the ideas and those who hold them?" "We don't agree with that," Mr Woinarski said. "But in this case it's an irrelevant distinction, because Muslims and Islam were mishmashed up together."

Justice Nettle: "Are you saying it's impossible to incite hatred against a religion without also inciting hatred against people who hold it?" Mr Woinarski: "Yes."
Mr Macaulay said orders by Judge Michael Higgins against the pastors to take out a newspaper advertisement apologising and not to repeat certain teachings were too wide, and beyond his powers under the act.

He said it was surprising that the pastors could hold the beliefs but not express them. "They are restrained by law from suggesting or implying a number of things about what in their view the Koran teaches: that it preaches violence and killing, that women are of little value, that the God of Islam, Allah, is not merciful, that there is a practice of 'silent jihad' for spreading Islam, or that the Koran says Allah will remit the sins of martyrs.

"Contentious or otherwise, these are opinions about Islam's doctrines and teaching. Statements of this kind are likely to offend and insult Muslims but their feelings are not relevant under the act." Mr Macaulay said the act burdened free speech, contravened international treaties Australia had signed and breached the Australian constitution.

The act, amended in May, has been controversial. Opponents rallied against it outside Parliament earlier this month, and some Christians vowed to make it an issue at the state election.

This case has been monitored by Christian and Muslim groups overseas, and at one point Judge Higgins had to assure the Foreign Affairs Department he was not considering jailing the pastors after a flood of emails from America.
The case continues today.

Blogging Under The Radar: The Blogosphere Becomes The Antithesis of the Middle East Crisis

What the UN has failed to achieve since 1948 to date, the 3 years old blogosphere has achieved in 3 weeks to propel the virtual momentum to accelerate the cause of peace in the Middle East as Israeli and Lebanese bloggers establish a common rapport in their virtual world. And the expanding blogosphere is fast changing the atmosphere of enmity between these two enemies.

The Lebanese government forbids its citizens contact with Israelis. But keeping a lid on the Internet is a bit like trying to shovel sand with a sieve. And in the midst of war, scouring online for views from the other side has been one way for Lebanese and Israelis to alleviate the terrible sense of the impotence of standing by as their countries bled. Thousands of people, often posting in English, seem compelled to try to make some sense of the chaos -- or, through personal narratives, to help debunk stereotypes and misperceptions.Washington Post, 27/08/2006

Why should the UN watch as the Lebanese government forbids contact with Israelis?
Why should the UN permit such an undiplomatic state policy against Israel?

"The lack of news about Israel -- not an unimportant country in the region -- is astounding," wrote the political consultant, under his then-nom-de-Web, Lebanon Profile. "Not knowing about 'them' is the worst crime we can commit. It invalidates them as humans, as if they don't even matter. They are Stalin's faceless enemy, the rabid dog, the evil blood suckers whom it is righteous to kill. Our papers definitely need to start covering more than major political events in Israel."Washington Post, 27/08/2006

It is sheer wickedness for these sworn enemies of Israel to poison the hearts and souls of the majority of their ignorant citizens against making peace with Israel.

Two Fox Journalsits Freed After Converting To Islam

I have just read online that the kidnapped Fox correspondents have just been freed after 'converting to Islam' in Gaza.

The footage of them in captivity showed both men dressed in beige Arab-style robes, and the kidnappers claimed the journalists had converted to Islam.
Washington Post, 27/08/2006

This is actually what all the Islamic terrorists are doing.
They are holding the rest of the world hostage at gunpoint to convert to Islam or be killed. And the rest of the Islamic world are enjoying the whole Islamic madness and only pretend to sympathize with the unfortunate victims of Islamic terrorism.

Fox News Senior Vice President John Moody said there were "high points and low points" in the ordeal, and that one of the lowest was the release of a second video at 3 a.m. Eastern time Sunday in which Centanni and Wiig said under duress that they had converted to Islam.
Washington Post, 27/08/2006

So where do we go from here? To the Hajj?

When Will This Islamic Madness End?

First Hamas kidnapped an Israeli soldier and asked for the release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israel in exchange. Then Hizbollah killed some Israeli soldiers and abducted two and demanded that Israel must release Hizbollah fighters in Israeli prisons in exchange. And now the Holy Jihad Brigades," kidnapped two Fox News Channel journalists (correspondent Steve Centanni, a 60-year-old American, and New Zealand cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36) in Gaza, also demanding that Muslims in American prisons must be released in exchange for their hostages. When will these lunatic fringe elements of Islam stop their madness? Until they no longer exist?

To Russia With My Condolences And My Love

Reuters

May I sympathize with all Russians who are now bereaved as all the 170 passengers on the Russian airliner of Flight 612 died as the plane crashed in flames today in Eastern Ukraine.

The plane carried 161 passengers, including 45 children, and a crew of 10. There were no survivors, rescue personnel and airline officials said.
Washington Post 08/22/2006

May the dead rest in peace and may the Almighty God Jehovah comfort all the bereaved families and the whole of Russia.

Extracts From The Scarlet Tears of London

On Islamic Terrorism:
In AD 624, The Prophet Muhammed announced the Jihad or holy war.
“ I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite off their finger-tips off them...slay them wherever you find them…”

Sunniya,
I got a suicide note yesterday.
It was from your brother Mustafa.
He is going to blow himself up on Sunday.
He mentioned somewhere in Gaza.

But why?
Oh, Sunniya! Don’t cry.
Mustafa chose the way to go.
The terrible deed has been done.
And he is gone.

As British Charge 11 Suspects in Airliner Plot, let me remind all the Islamic terrorists and their fellow Muslims that...
God has not called us to be suicide bombers
God has called us to be peacemakers.
God has not called us to be messengers of death.
God has called us to be messengers of life.
God has not called us to be messengers of falsehood.
God has called us to be messengers of truth.
God has not called us to be messengers of hatred.
God has called us to be messengers of love.

On the beauty of the Hijab and Burga:

She came in silken veils
Like aurora in her sails.
And the siren fled at the scent of her chador
The hood of her candor
My beloved Princess Sunniya
She is the loveliest damsel in all Arabia.

On Adultery:

Is only the woman that is always caught in adultery?
What of the man?
Or did she commit the adultery by herself?
The hypocrisy and injustice must stop.

Some verses from Scarlet Tears of London:

Faces stained with blood
Grimaces of agony
Petrified as they stood.
Too numb to bear any acrimony.

Oh, my beloved London
The pride of the English Crown
Let me wipe away your scarlet tears
The scarlet tears of your bloodshed
Though you are heartbroken.
But, you are not forsaken.

The Washington Post Report On The Niger Delta

I have a better idea for making the rest of the world to turn their eyes away from the bloody madness in the Middle East and notice the genesis of a catastrophe in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Let us kidnap Heidi Klum and parade her before the cameras of the CNN and Fox in only her skimpy bikini surrounded by sex-starved militants in the creeks of the Niger Delta. And of course, she would be safer in my arms than in the arms of the suicidal Islamic terrorists. Because, we don't behead hostages in the Niger Delta. In fact our hostages gain some extra pounds and grow new beard too. If we kidnap Heidi Klum, even the Washington Post will make us their cover story.

Inhabitants of delta communities _ where many subsist on less than $2 a day despite the hundreds of billions of dollars generated by oil exploration in the region _ have repeatedly detained foreign workers to protest living conditions.
Washington Post, 21/08/2006

The Washington Post has been hammering on the social, economic and political causes of the Niger Delta crisis for years and all the other leading Western news channels have also echoed the same fears. But the American, British, Dutch and Italian authorities have failed to query the violations of our fundamental human rights by their multinational oil companies operating in the plundered communities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. And they only raise their snobbish eyebrows whenever they hear and read the news of kidnapped Americans, Europeans or Asians and once the hostages are freed without any harm, they continue with their capitalist business as usual, collaborating with the ruling kleptocratic Nigerian government to continue to cheat, exploit , plunder and loot our mineral resources which they cannot do without as at present.

Oil spills often pollute farms or rivers, which are the traditional means of sustenance in the region, and government corruption means that the region is severely underdeveloped, lacking roads and reliable electricity.
Washington Post, 21/08/2006

Seeing is beliveing. And I want the Western media to produce an eye-witness documentary report on the Niger Delta crisis and broadcast it on the CNN, Fox and BBC for the rest of the world to see the atrocities of the multinational oil companies in their criminal activities in the host communities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Then, their leaders would be more concerned about the critical humanitarian emergencies in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. And they don't have to wait until our revolutionary militants start beheading their American, British, Dutch, Russian, German and Asian hostages before they will address the crisis.

"We need peace, food and shelter, not soldiers on our streets," said Fyneface Aaron, a 61-year-old water vendor. "They will not find the hoodlums and they may end up killing the wrong people."
Washington Post, 21/08/2006

I have met with Shell and ChevronTexaco over the Niger Delta crisis and in fact I warned them before the situation became worse. And the sooner the problems as quoted above are solved the better. Otherwise, they should prepare to bear the unavoidable responsibilities of the worst consequences of their violations of the human rights of the host communities of the multinational oil companies in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

We are peace loving and proactive citizens of Nigeria and we want the best for our people as demonstrated by Kendall the genius behind the launching of Myafricasite who is from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and we are all cooperating and supporting other proactive forces for the nation-building of a New Nigeria in the leadership of Africa in the new millennium.

We can save the Niger Delta from a catastrophic civil war before it is too late. And we don't have to kidnap sexy Heidi Klum to prove our point.

Fire No Fit Quench Fire For Niger Delta.

As we say in the Niger Delta, fire no fit quench fire.
That is you cannot use fire to put out fire. You use water. And may God help you if the fire is not Greek fire as the gas flares or oil flames in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.

The military operations to search and destroy the revolutionary militants on the streets and in the creeks of the Niger Delta are a waste of time and resources, because if you want to arrest all the suspected militants in Port Harcourt and other parts of the Niger Delta, you have to arrest every member of the host communities of the multinational oil companies. Because, the militants are struggling to put an end to the oppression and suppression of the indigenes of the Niger Delta. Enough is enough. And their cause is justified.

President Olusegun Obasanjo Must Account For The Assassinations In The PDP

As the bereaved are still mourning the murdered Funso Williams who was buried only last weekend, Ayo Daramola another governorship aspirant in the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been murdered. And just like Funso Williams, he was murdered right inside his home early yesterday in Ekiti in the South Western region of Nigeria. And this is the third victim. There would have been more, but the others have escaped from the hired killlers. And Nigerians need to dare to face the devils behind these atrocities.

The PDP is the ruling party in Nigeria and if anyone who has been reading the Nigerian Times can remember, I have addressed the bloody lies of President Olusegun Obasanjo after he commended the PDP during their last convention. And I replied that the PDP has done horrible and terrible things in Nigeria and I am not really surprised to see more sordid deeds in this diabolical political party. The PDP is the worst political party in the history of Nigeria. And President Olusegun Obasanjo is the worst president in the history of Nigeria since the First Republic to date.

If there should be a coup today to topple the PDP from power, the majority of Nigerians will rejoice.

President Olusegun Obasanjo has failed in the leadership of the PDP and Nigeria. And since May 29, 1999 to date his administration has become the bloodiest in the history of Nigeria since the Nigerian civil war.

President Olusegun Obasanjo must account for the assassinations in the PDP.

Have You Seen The Blog of President Mahmood Ahmadinejad of Iran?

Have you seen the blog of President Mahmood Ahmadinejad of Iran?

I may not like his guts, but I dig his blog.
The guy has brains.

From Mahmood Ahmadinejad’s blog, I now know that he is more intelligent than President George W.Bush of America.
If you doubt me, go and read his blog and you will see that the difference between him and Dubya is clear. No wonder Hasan Nasrallah of Hezbollah has been able to prove his mettle against Israel. Mahmood Ahmadinejad has been a good shrink.

Who Says We Are Not Afraid?

As I blog, there is a red alert at all airports in America as the US raises threat level for all commercial aircraft, since the breaking news with the following headlines:

British Police Thwart Aircraft Bomb Plot

UK police hold 21 over foiled plot to bomb planes
Heathrow Closed to Most European Flights

British police say foil plot to bomb aircraft.

Why are these Islamic devils so nefarious and infernally wicked?

We have to beware of every Muslim everywhere? Because, judging from tragic accidents of the recent past, we can never trust any Muslim again. They are the most suspicious people on earth and their lunatic fringe elements are the perpetrators of the worst evils of these interesting times.

When the terrorist bomb attacks devastated London on that fateful July 7 last year, most Muslims were jubilating in Northern Nigeria and other Islamic regions in the world. But when the controversial Danish cartoons of their Prophet Muhammad were published, millions of them went on rampage and in Nigeria they attacked and murdered innocent Christians, including mothers and their children. Just to prove how diabolical these Muslims are, they rejoice whenever their suicide-bombers succeed in killing innocent humans and destroying buildings.

Who says we are not afraid?
Just check the BP of most passengers at the airports in the UK and the US.

Michael Moore Raps Senator Joe Lieberman

Friends,
Let the resounding defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman send a cold shiver down the spine of every Democrat who supported the invasion of Iraq and who continues to support, in any way, this senseless, immoral, unwinnable war. Make no mistake about it: We, the majority of Americans, want this war ended -- and we will actively work to defeat each and every one of you who does not support an immediate end to this war.
Nearly every Democrat set to run for president in 2008 is responsible for this war. They voted for it or they supported it. That single, stupid decision has cost us 2,592 American lives and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives. Lieberman and Company made a colossal mistake -- and we are going to make sure they pay for that mistake. Payback time started last night.

I realize that there are those like Kerry and Edwards who have now changed their position and are strongly anti-war. Perhaps that switch will be enough for some to support them. For others, like me -- while I'm glad they've seen the light -- their massive error in judgment is, sadly, proof that they are not fit for the job. They sided with Bush, and for that, they may never enter the promised land.

To Hillary, our first best hope for a woman to become president, I cannot for the life of me figure out why you continue to support Bush and his war. I'm sure someone has advised you that a woman can't be elected unless she proves she can kick ass just as crazy as any man. I'm here to tell you that you will never make it through the Democratic primaries unless you start now by strongly opposing the war. It is your only hope. You and Joe have been Bush's biggest Democratic supporters of the war. Last night's voter revolt took place just a few miles from your home in Chappaqua. Did you hear the noise? Can you read the writing on the wall?

To every Democratic Senator and Congressman who continues to back Bush's War, allow me to inform you that your days in elective office are now numbered. Myself and tens of millions of citizens are going to work hard to actively remove you from any position of power.

If you don't believe us, give Joe a call.

Yours,
Michael Moore

P.S. Republicans -- sorry to leave you out of this letter. It's just that our side has a little housecleaning to do. We'll take care of you this November.

When Will They Ever Learn?

Why have we failed to learn from the mistakes of the past and when we even see them about to explode such as the war in the Middle East, we do nothing to prevent the recurrences?

When Will They Ever Learn?

Writing a long missive or a long essay on the catastrophic wars in the Middle East is a waste of time. Because these religious zombies don't know right from wrong. They only follow the command of their religious goons.

If I were the Prime Minister of Israel, I would have been wiser and there would have been no war in Lebanon.

Only zombies don't know that two wrongs don't make a right.

Only a fool wrestles with a lunatic.

If I were President George W. Bush of America, there would have been no fools' war in Iraq and those innocent American soldiers would have been basking in their summer resorts than wasting their precious lives in Iraq and being accused of slaying and raping an innocent 14-year-old Iraqi girl.

As fools lie
So fools die.

Breaking News: Three Filipino Nigeria LNG Workers Kidnapped

The local militia on Bonny Island just kidnapped three Filipino expatriates of the Nigeria LNG Bonny Plant Complex this morning and sporadic shootings were heard in the environs of the Nigeria LNG Plant Complex. There is now a state of emergency at the Nigeria LNG Plant Complex on Bonny Island in Rivers State, Nigeria. The information from reliable sources said the militia was demanding more compensation from the Nigeria LNG Limited for the exploration and production of the LNG on Bonny Island.

Israel Is Actually At War Against Syria And Iran

Israel is actually at war against Syria and Iran. Because, Hizbollah is the warhead of both Syria and Iran.

Syria and Iran are reinforcing Hizbollah with more recruits and rockets.

They planned to provoke Israel and sent their agents provocateurs to capture the Israeli soldiers across the borders.

The war will not end this year. Because, when you are fighting against these devils, the war never ends until the devils are totally destroyed.

A Perfect Portrait

I don't know who is Blaine Harden of the Washington Post Foreign Service. But Blaine Harden's Nigeria: An African Portrait could win the Pulitzer Prize for a documentary report on the physiognomy of Nigeria. Because he has painted a perfect life portrait of Nigeria in the contemporary history of modern Africa as we see her today.

I will not help the lazy visitor or blog-frog by writing a comprehensive analysis of this well-written feature on the state of Nigeria and Nigerians. Please, read it yourself. It is a must read.

Nigeria: The Bloody Lie Of The Land

The late Funso Williams.

I was on my way to Lagos when the eminent Lagos politician Funso Williams was assassinated in his home in Ikoyi and the horrifying news of his tragic death is still circulating all over Nigeria. And since he was a prominent member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria, his assassination has only worsened the bad reputation of the party known for gruesome acts of the members since the PDP came to power in 1999.

More political leaders have been killed since the PDP came to power than during the years of the military regimes of the retired General Ibrahim Babangida and the late General Sanni Abacha. And most of the killers have not been caught till date. The killers of the legal luminary Bola Ige who was the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, top political statesmen Chief Marshall Harry and Chief A. K. Dikibo are still on the wanted list of the Nigerian Police and now the killers of Funso Williams have also been declared wanted.

See NIGERIA'S UNSOLVED MYSTERIES.

From the terrifying cases of unsolved political assassinations to the extra-judicial killings of thousands of Nigerians in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country, bloody political and religious riots, Nigerians have never been so horrified and terrified of living in Nigeria. Because, Nigerians are now victims of the bloody crisis perpetrated by the diabolical and ruthless ruling party, the PDP. And if we don't destroy this cannibalistic monster masquerading as a political party, this monster will continue to destroy more lives in our beloved country Nigeria.

We must sack the People's Democratic Party (PDP) before it is too late.

Tomorrow Is Pregnant.
