4 Kidnapped Oil Workers Freed in Nigeria
WOW!
What a way to celebrate my birthday!
The Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) has freed the American and three of his colleagues (a Briton, a Bulgarian and a Honduran) they had kidnapped and held hostage since January 11.
The good news report is music to my ears, because I wanted these innocent oil contractors to be released and God answered my prayers as a special birthday present to me.
I commend MEND for releasing the four hostages without harming them.
I hope Shell and the other multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta will now cooperate more with deprived indigenes of the host communities than with the corrupt rulers of the kleptocratic Nigerian government.

The Victory of HAMAS and the Threat to Israel
Sheik Mohammed Abu Teir who is already talking tough has said Hamas plans to institute single-sex schooling 'because we look at examples in the West, like Sweden. they have the highest level of co-education and the highest level of suicides.'
Photo: Oded Balilty/AP
I was wondering why the Western leaders should be shocked when Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya(HAMAS)won the first Palestinian parliamentary elections of January 2006, with a 58% majority of the vote, having won 76 of the 132 legislative seats.
The news only shocked the largely ignorant Western World. Because, they have always been ignorant of the psyche of the average Palestinian and other Arabs. But most of the Islamic world wanted HAMAS to win and take over the governance of Palestine to quicken their suicide mission to destroy their common foe Israel. And the second in command of HAMAS, Sheik Mohammed Abu Teir is already talking tough that they will continue their terrorist armed struggle against Israel as long as Israel continues its occupation of Palestinian lands.
MAHMOUD ABBAS is a Shepherd dog surrounded by wolves.
Mahmoud Abbas was just an interim head of state and he was powerless against HAMAS. The protests of the younger and radical members of his ruling political party Harakat al-Tahrir al-Watani al-Filastini(FATAH)are nothing but kicking against their pricks. Because, they will only hurt themselves. They should just retreat and think of how to survive the reign of Islamic rule and terrorism. Because, Osama bin Laden and his fellow brothers in arms are already jubilating over the victory of HAMAS as their own victory over those opposed to their Jihad. And the new government of HAMAS will support their Al Qaida.
But the senior leader of HAMAS, Ismail Haniyeh has rejected international calls for the Islamic militant group to disarm and renounce violence to prevent cuts to international aid for the Palestinian Authority.
"This aid can not be a sword over the heads of the Palestinian people and will not be material to blackmail our people, to blackmail Hamas and the resistance. It is rejected," Haniyeh told Reuters in an interview in the Gaza Strip.
For the citizens of Palestine, the internal initfada has begun. And for Israel, the already bad critical situation is now worse. So I advise Israel to prepare for the worst.

President Bush said Friday that the United States would cut aid to the Palestinian government unless Hamas abolished the militant arm of its party and stopped calling for the destruction of Israel. "And if they don't, we won't deal with them," Bush said in an interview aired on "CBS Evening News." "The aid packages won't go forward. That's their decision to make, but we won't be providing help to a government that wants to destroy our ally and friend."

AMERICAN NUN COLLECTED $4.5 MILLION FROM SADDAM HUSSEIN
Saddam Hussein
The Washington Post has just revealed that the scapegoat of the American gambit in the Middle East Saddam Hussein donated millions of dollars to build a church and a mosque in America.
Do you know why I have called Saddam Hussein the Scapegoat of the American Gambit in the Mddle East?
Please, read:
The scapegoat was a goat that was driven off into the wilderness as part of the ceremonies of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, in Judaism during the times of the Temple in Jerusalem. The rite is described in Leviticus 16. The word also refers, in modern parlance, to one who is blamed for misfortunes, often as a way of distracting attention from the real causes.

America is guilty of the crimes of Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Ladenn who were actually American larkeys during the Cold War when America dined and wined with the devils in the desperate Super Power struggle with the USSR.
Imagine an American Nun even collected $4.5 million from Saddam Hussein!
And the hypocritical Christians in America will be pretending as if they are holier than the Muslims in America. Hypocrites of Christianity are worse than Muslims and unbelievers!
Fie!
What you sow you reap.

When a generous benefactor donated $500,000 to help build a teal-domed mosque amid the rolling tobacco fields of Southern Maryland, nobody paid much attention to the source of the money.
But a quarter-century and two Gulf Wars later, there is considerably more interest in the philanthropist: former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

"What do you need over there?" Hussein casually asked the Iraqi Americans after they had arrived.
A nun from the Midwest, who was part of the delegation, stood up. "Mr. President, we need a school for our church," she said.
When he asked how much money would be needed, the nun said the project would cost $4.5 million.
"Done," Hussein said before turning to an assistant. "Get them the money right away."
Sensing an opportunity, Damalouji decided to try his luck and settled on a $500,000 request, which Hussein agreed to donate on the spot. When Damalouji returned home, his colleagues joshed him for being outbid by a nun.
"We booed him big time," Al-Banna joked. "We said, 'You dummy, why didn't you ask him for $4 million? We could have had a nice big mosque.' "

SHELL, ASARI DOKUBO AND THE NIGER DELTA CRISIS
ASARI DOKUBO
The majority of the employees of the Royal Dutch Shell Overseas are more interested in collecting their fat salaries than in social responsibility in the host communities. And the corrupt kleptocratic governments of the host communities have made matters worse by plundering the natural resources of the host communities and squandering the revenue allocations and accruing profits from crude oil and gas exports since when the Royal Dutch Shell first struck its commercial oil well in Nigeria in 1956, at Olobiri now in Bayelsa State in the Niger Delta region to date.
The ignorance of these facts and mercantile conspiracy by the multinational oil companies and corrupt governments in underdeveloped oil producing countries have only aggravated the critical conflicts of interests over the years and these abuse and misuse of power and control of natural resources have been most pronounced in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
When I approached TellShell with my honest to God daily reports of the bloody conflicts of the terrorist militias on rampage in Port Harcourt, Yenogua and Warri in 2004 and proposed the production of a feature documentary film " Winds of Fire, Winds of Change: New Dawn in the Niger Delta", TellShell was cordially receptive to the highly laudable and beneficial public enlightenment project to address the persistent problems of the host communities from the grassroots and Yaabari.Uebari@shell.com was communicating with me until the Smart Alecs at Shell thought they had better and wiser ideas.
Then, when the ruling government tricked and arrested and detained Asari Dokubo over his confrontational outbursts in the Nigerian Press, I told them that they must release him or there would be breakdown of law and order in the Niger Delta, they all ignored me and thought they had the upper hand since they have captured Asari Dokubo.
I am a non-violent Christian pacifist and I have been talking to my hot-headed brothers in the Niger Delta to address our grievances and agitations in peace and cooperation with Shell and the other multinational oil companies operating in our communities. And Asari Dokubo was very cooperative until the ignorant, arrogant and inefficient authorities of the Nigerian government arrested him and detained him and arraigned him on ambiguous and erroneous charges of treasonable felony along with some leaders of the other secessionist movements of the micro nations of the Odua Peoples' Congress(OPC) and Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra(MASSOB). But the government later released the leaders of the OPC and still detained Asari Dokubo and MASSOB Leader Barrister Ralph Uwazuruike and his comrades who are all from the South of Nigeria. Whereas the Yoruba President of Nigeria let go the Yoruba leaders of the OPC. Showing his nepotism and partiality in his persistent violations of the Rule of Law.
You have heard of the Niger Delta Peoples' Volunteer Force(NDPVF) aka "Akumafiete
AKUMA FIETE - THE STRUGGLE FOR THE LIBERATION OF THE NIGER DELTA
Akumafiete - The Struggle Continues. www.akumafiete.org/ and suddenly you now hear of Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta(MEND ), because MEND has come to mend the erroneous misconceptions of the Nigerian government and the dishonest multinational oil companies operating in our plundered and ravaged communities in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.
I am here living on Bonny Island and I know that we have more than NDPVF and MEND. There is the Niger Delta Revolution Army(NDRA) that is even more lethal than NDPVF and MEND. And the NDRA is waiting in the wings to swing into action whenever the emergency demands such an expediency in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.
The solution to the catastrophic problem in the volatile Niger Delta region of Nigeria has been addressed in this letter.
Ignorance kills.
May God help us to be more honest, just and sincere to ourselves in love, peace and unity.
In the Western world, they say that ignorance is bliss
But in Africa we say ignorance kills.

But the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, which abducted four foreign oil workers on Jan. 11 from an offshore oilfield, have said they would not exchange the hostages for ransom. They threatened to kill them all if the American hostage, who is gravely ill, died.
"If they kill the hostages, that really changes the game," said a security consultant to a multinational oil company in Nigeria. "The impact would be huge. Investor confidence would be shaken and people will say this is something new."
Reuters
But it is an exercise in foolhardiness to expect Asari Dokubo to give up his guns when Nigerian soldiers, Navy ratings, and riot police are still firmly in place in the delta, working with the oil companies to enforce the regime of depredation that has reduced the Ijo, Ikwerre, Itsekiri, and all the other oil-bearing communities to a state of near-animal existence. No self-respecting patriot will stand by while aggressors are delivering the death-blow on his people.
How then might Dokubo be meaningfully engaged so that he will not only see,
but also agree, that de-commissioning his guns and disbanding his insurgents is the
only forward? I shall outline three main steps the Nigerian government must take,
and in good faith, to achieve this objective. One, the Nigerian government must turn away from the comedy of relying on one or two Abuja-based NGO 'leaders' to broker a peace-process in the Niger Delta. These 'Executive Directors' represent only themselves, and they are out to corner as many bags of Naira as a naïve Aso Rock is willing to pass their way.
The Ijo and the other delta communities do not lack credible civil society leaders. Some of them, like Professor Ebiegberi Alagoa, author of the classic book, The Brave Small City-State, have been writing and reflecting on the problems of the area for over four decades. These revered personages, and an emergent generation of younger delta scholars like Dr Lucky Akaruese and Asume Osuoka, should be asked to provide an intellectual framework, backed by solid evidential research, to power a meaningful peace process.
Two, Asari Dokubo's call for a Sovereign National Conference wherein his people might be enabled to air their grievances and dialogue with other Nigerians about ways in which resources might be produced and allocated equitably, must be heeded. The Wole Soyinka-led Citizen Forum and Dokubo are at one here when they stress that this national dialogue must be sovereign, and rid of the usual rigmarole of stuffing the deliberations with government nominees.
Third, the Federal Government, as a demonstration of good faith and its
commitment to a peaceful resolution of the delta crisis, must lead the way by de-commissioning its own guns in the delta first before calling on Dokubu to follow suit. As I write, the George Bush government is dispatching yet another batch of fast-attack boats, armed with lethal weaponry, to President Obasanjo, to be used in 'policing' the Niger Delta. It is no use calling for peace in the Niger Delta while at the same time consorting with the most aggressive government the people of the United States have ever seen, to further militarize the Niger delta.
The Nigerian government would be making a grievous mistake to think that the likes of Asari Dokubo can be used and easily discarded like a shoe that has outlived its usefulness. The Dokubos are symptomatic of a larger, and quickly spreading national crisis. This is the crisis of Nigerian youth, now numbering over fifty million young souls, whose future has been squandered by one of the most corrupt and enlightened elites our continent has ever seen.
In the Niger delta, which is Nigeria's ground zero, these angry Young Turks are now armed. And they are about to storm the city gates. It is not yet too late to persuade them to put down their guns.

"Rogue State: Why Osama bin Laden is more Intelligent Than George W.Bush
Osama bin Laden
Good readers are good leaders
-Michael Chima
As they say you are what you eat, you are also what you read.
Now the Americans got the shock of their "ignorance is bliss" American life when their most hated and most wanted adversary told them to go and read "Rogue State: A Guide to the World's Only Superpower," by the Polish-American historian William Blum
William Blum
The Washington Post report is a must read for all literate Americans and others all over the world. Because, the fact that Osama bin Laden has read this very blunt analysis of American foreign policy of gunboat diplomacy shows that Osama bin Laden is more intelligent than President George Walker Bush of America who has underestimated the IQ of the intelligentsia of the Al Qaida and paid dearly for his ignorance. Because ignorance kills.
The terrible blunders of the American military strategy in the war on terror have shown us the inefficiencies of the CIA, the Pentagon and the White House. And their erroneous decisions have led to the untimely deaths of thousands of brave American soldiers and the other casualties among the allies. What of the several thousands of innocent children, women and men of Iraq and Afghanistan killed so far?
President George W.Bush
The best advice I can give President George W.Bush is:Dubya go and read!
The more you read the more you will know how best to lead.
May I recommend Sun Tzu"s "Art of War" to Dubya.

When it is pointed out that terrorists target innocent civilians, which is not U.S. policy, he replies that U.S. tactics in Iraq have led to the deaths of thousands of civilians. "We bomb homes and these people have families, and the U.S. refuses to apologize for these civilian deaths," Blum said. "The absence of concern makes their actions almost equal to a deliberate targeting of civilians."

The US Versus IRAN Nuclear War and the Russian Roulette
AMERICA THINKS I AM CRAZY!Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Seems To Be Saying.
The only country that Iran will listen to is Russia. And Mohmoud Ahmadinejad is both a schizo and psycho whose erroneous mental state of mind does not make him to recognize any rational point of view, except what his head tells him. He is like Saddam Hussein. Mad men in power.
The case of the on-going dispute over the dangerous Nuclear Program of Iran cannot be solved by the US, EU or even China. But Russia. Because, Russia is actually the brain behind the Iranian Nuclear Program.Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are brothers in arms and partners in crime.
Russia needs allies to regain her regional stronghold in the world since the collapse of the USSR. And the former members of the USSR, such as Ukraine and Georgia cannot be trusted. So, Russia must look for allies such as Iran and China.
And their common weapon is their oil and gas. And the acquisition of Nuclear Power is the ultimate ambition of every regional power. Iran wants to be another Super Power for the Islamic world and Iran cannot realize her ambition without the cooperation and support of a worthy ally such as Russia.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not afraid of America or the EU and the U.N. Security Council. If the U.N. Security Council couldn't stop America from invading Iraq, why should they respect the hypocritical U.N. Security Council? And until Nigeria takes her rightful permanent seat in the U.N. Security Council, I will never support the council as being fair and square.
The Washington Post reported that Putin said:
Well I believe that Geeorge W. Bush knows that Putin cannot be trusted. And Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will never succumb to George W.Bush. To the rest of the Islamic world, America is actually the worst terrorist on planet earth. And they are only defending themselves by attacking America. And as long as America defends and supports Israel, America remains the most hated Country in the Islamic world after Israel.
In the US Versus Iran Nuclear War and the Russian Roulette, Putin is the Master of the Game.

Women Take The Lead From Liberia To Chile
PRESIDENT-ELECT MICHELLE BACHELET OF CHILE
First it was Liberia that led the way with the unprecedented election of their First Female President lady Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and now Chile has followed suit by electing their own First Female President, the fearless Michelle Bachelet who was a former political prisoner.
Read more on the Washington Post from the link above.
As I congratulated President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, I hereby congratulate the President elect of Chile Michelle Bachelet.
As I blog, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has already been sworn in for six-year-term as first democratically elected female president in Liberia and Africa as a whole. And she is still making her first address to the people of Liberia in the presence of many leaders of the world from various countries, including the President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Nigeria sacrificed the precious lives of our brave soldiers and spent millions of dollars in the restoration of peace in Liberia and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf commended Nigeria for coming to the rescue of Liberia.
I am happy for President-Elect Michelle Bachelet of Chile and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia.
Who is next?
Hilary Clinton of the United States of America in 2008?
Let us pray.

Socialist Party candidate Michelle Bachelet, a political prisoner during Gen. Augusto Pinochet's military dictatorship and a single mother of three, was elected president on Sunday, the first woman to lead a country long
considered one of the most culturally traditional in Latin America.
With 97 percent of voting sites reporting, Bachelet had won 53 percent of the vote to about 47 percent for billionaire businessman Sebastian Piñera.

CNOOC:"It's a good deal,"
Yesterday, I reported the most cheering good news of the New Year in Nigeria, the $2.3B CNOOC is investing in the oil industry in Nigeria. The Washington Post has a very comprehensive report on it. The analysis of the investment by Peter S. Goodman and Justin Blum is worth reading and documenting. Because they included very important details of the energy crisis in the world caused by the war in Iraq and the desperation for more energy in America, Europe and Asia.
Saad Rahim, an analyst at PFC Energy, a Washington-based consulting firm says international oil companies think CNOOC is overpaying for the Nigerian oil field that has estimated proven reserves of over 620 million barrels of oil and about 3.75 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
"If you're talking to one of the international oil companies, they view that as an overpayment," said Rahim. "But for the Chinese companies, because they've been tasked by the government to go out and get as much oil as they can, then the $2 billion isn't an overpayment in their eyes."
But Xiao, the Cnooc spokesman, does not think so.
"It's a good deal," Xiao said. "It adds to our reserves, and we paid an attractive price."

BREAKING NEWS:CNOOC Limited acquires 45 % stake in offshore Nigerian oil
When the Chinese multinational oil company CNOOC lost in their bid for Unocal of America, I said they should come to Nigeria and invest in the most lucrative oil industry in the world. And the good news on the BBC that CNOOC is coming to do exactly what I said is music to my ears. And the best signals of the good things God has in store for Nigeria this year. But, the BBC did not give the details.
I have already confirmed this from CNOOC Ltd that indeed CNOOC Limited has acquired 45 % stake in offshore Nigerian oil mining license 130 for US $2.268 billion cash.
Commenting on the acquisition, Chairman and Chief Executive, Fu Chengyu said: “The purchase of this interest in OML 130 helps CNOOC gain access to an oil and gas field of huge interest and upside potential, located in one of the world’s largest oil and gas basins. With one of the leading deep water experts as the operator of the field, we have every confidence for the fast and efficient production of oil.”
He also commented: “This transaction is perfectly aligned with CNOOC’s long term strategy of achieving growth through the exploration and development of offshore fields and achieving geographic diversification of the company’s portfolio."
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2006, and is conditional on, amongst others, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (“NNPC”) and Chinese government approval.
CNOOC's Pinghu Gas Field
I have already written CNNOC to welcome them to Nigeria. This is breaking news and Nigerian Times is the first to report the news in details of the transaction.

This one is poised for a HUGE BREAK OUT, because of the low price, and recent news. CBIO could be one of the 500_%_gainers !!!
This is just the start of a very aggressive IR campaign, we are told there are lots and lots of juicy news coming on this exciting company.
CONSOLIDATED BIOFUELS (OTC: CBIO) JOINS A MULTI BILLION $$$$$$$ INDUSTRY:
YOU TOO CAN BECOME INVOLVED.
IN A BILLION $$$$$ INDUSTRY IF CONSOLIDATED BIOFUELS (OTC: CBIO). CAPTURES 1% OF THE MARKET IT COULD POTENTIALLY MEAN TENS OF MILLIONS OF $$$$$$$ TO THE BOTTOM LINE.
The United States consumes approximately 20 million barrels of oil a day, more than half of which is imported. Diesel fuel is America’s primary commercial fuel. Seventy percent of the nation’s goods are transported in diesel-powered vehicles.
MARKET SITUATION:
. $70 per barrel oil slated to reach $100 per barrel in the near term
. Record high fuel pricing which is anticipated to remain for extended periods
. Reduction of refining capacity due to recent hurricanes and legislation
. Federal mandates requiring the use of alternative fuels, many specifically requiring biodiesel blends
Who is CONSOLIDATED BIOFUELS?
Consolidated Biofuels is in the alternative fuels and energy field and is dedicated to a cleaner America by increasing the availability
of competitive biodiesel fuel nationwide and expanding the effort to reduce pollution caused by petroleum derived diesel fuels.
The National Biodiesel Board in a news release titled Biodiesel Production Soars stated that it "anticipates 75 million gallons of biodiesel production in 2005. That's three times the 25 million gallons produced just one year earlier."
What is biofuel?
Biofuel is the name of a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic, renewable resources. Biofuel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with petroleum fuel to create a biofuel blend. It can be used in conventional heating equipment or diesel engines with no major modifications. Biofuel is simple to use, biodregadable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics.
Is biofuel used as pure fuel or is it blended with petroleum fuel?
Biofuel can be used as a pure fuel or blended with petroleum in any percentage. B20 (a blend of 20% biofuel with 80% petroleum fuel, by volume) has demonstrated significant environmental benefits.
How do biofuel emissions compare to petroleum fuel?
Biofuel is the only alternative fuel to have fully completed the health effects testing of the clean air act. The use of biofuel in a conventional heating system or diesel engine results in a substantial reduction of unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter compared to the emissions from heating oil or diesel fuel. In addition, the exhaust emissions of sulfur oxides and sulfates (major components in acid rain) from biofuel are essentially eliminated compared to heating oil or diesel fuel.
Can biofuel help mitigate “global warming”?
A 1998 biofuel lifecycle study, jointly sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Energy and the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, concluded that biofuel reduces net co2 emissions by 78 % compared to petroleum fuels. This is due to biofuel’s closed carbon cycle. The co2 released into the atmosphere when biofuel is burned is recycled by growing plants, which are later processed into fuel.
Is biofuel safer than petroleum fuel?
Scientific research confirms that biofuel has a less harmful effect on human health than petroleum fuel. Biofuel emissions have decreased levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and nitrited PAH compounds that have been identified as cancer causing compounds. Test results indicate that PAH compounds were reduced from 50% – 85%. Targeted nPAH compounds were reduced by 90%. Biofuel is non-toxic and biodegradable. In addition, the flash point (the temperature at which a fuel will ignite when exposed to a spark or flame) is 300 degrees Farenheit, well above petroleum fuel’s flashpoint of 125 degrees.

Niger Delta Blues
IWHREKAN, NIGERIA -- In the early morning of July 21, deep below the ground, a 40-centimetre pipeline burst not far from the centre of this little town. Dark, pungent crude oil began to bubble, then spurt, then pour from the ground, soaking the soil, washing into a nearby creek, quickly running down into the river. It coated the leaves, the twigs and each blade of grass, filling the air with a dark, cloying smell.- Stephanie Nolen
Yesterday I addressed the news report on the notorious "Yahoo-Yahoo" Internet Scams and today I have to react to the well researched and well written reports on the agonies and ironies of oil exploration in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.
Dino Mahtani of Financial Times and Stephanie Nolen reminded the world of the festering sores of our crude oil and politics plaguing the host communities in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Dino Mahtani's report "Nigeria Burns an Opportunity" was published on the Los Angeles Times online yesterday
(http://www.latimes.com/news/science/environment/)and Stephanie Nolen's report was published on http://www.theglobeandmail.com.
May I commend Stephanie Nolen for writing such a very down to earth feature on the critical situation of oil exploration in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.
She wrote it with the sensitivity of one of us here in the Niger Delta as we feel the pains of the agonies and ironies of oil exploration in our communities.
Corruption and misadministration have done us more harm than good. And our government is to blame for the poverty plaguing us and neither Shell nor Chevron or any other multinational oil company could be found guilty of the underdevelopment in the oil producing states in Nigeria. And even here on Bonny Island where I live, the gross neglect of our communities is annoying and the government is to blame for the failures.
I advise that the multinational oil companies should re-negotiate the articles of the MOU with the Government of Nigeria and focus on how much should be given to the Government and how much should be used for the direct development of the host communities in the Niger Delta. The multinational oil companies can contract the Julius Berger to build resettlement estates for the host communities, roads, schools, hospitals, water supply depots and power supply stations and other modern amenities, facilities and utilities for the mutual benefit of the host communities as they have built the Nigeria LNG Residential Areas on Bonny Island.
Stephanie Nolen should come and see where I live in the Nigeria LNG RA, the perfect example of the model of how oil wealth could be used to develop the host communities in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.

"YAHOO-YAHOO" INTERNET SCAMMERS MADE $170 MILLION IN 2005
Nigeria scam grabs dollars of gullible;Americans continue to fall victim to absurd schemes, especially from Nigeria, which is notorious for financial crime.BY ERIC ROSENBERG.WASHINGTON - Wanted: Americans to share in the fabulous wealth of African despot. Must be discreet, willing to fork over thousands of dollars in advance and, above all, gullible

The first news I read online on Nigeria in 2006 was on how foreign morons lost over $170 Million to Internet Scammers last year and the notorious Nigerians are always the first suspects. I responded immediately by sending a rejoinder to The Miami Herald that published the erroneous news report online.

Dear Editor,
RE:Nigeria scam grabs dollars of gullible;Americans continue to fall victim to absurd schemes, especially from Nigeria, which is notorious for financial crime.BY ERIC ROSENBERG(Hearst News Service.)
May I react to the above news report Posted on Sun, Jan. 01, 2006 of the online edition of your newspaper, The Miami Herald.
I am a Nigerian publisher and editor who has had the privilege of working relationships with the USAID and the UNICEF. Therefore, your report attracted my attention and I have to respond.
Yes, greediness, ignorance and gulliblity are largely responsible for the prevalence of the notorious Nigerian Internet Scams. But, I blame the CIA,FBI and the Interpol for failing to investigate and arrest the criminals perpetrating these harmful crimes of Phishing. Because, the perpetrators could be traced. They could be traced through their telephones lines and also could be traced to the cyber cafes used by the Nigerian Internet Scammers through their Yahoo or Hotmail accounts. The IP IDs of the computers are not hidden. And I have reported on my weblog http://nigeriantimes.blogspot.com that most of us in Nigeria know the Internet Scammers, because they have their own cyber cafes used solely for their Internet scams and they are not hidden from the public. So, the agents of the CIA, FBI and the Interpol have to go to Nigeria and recruit Nigerian informants or spies to help them to track and report these Internet Scammers. And I know one of the biggest Internet fraudusters who is now a "born again" Christian and claims to have given up a life of crime. So, he could be helpful in disclosing the members of their network who are still actively engaged in the "Yahoo-Yahoo" Internet Scams. I can also direct them to the cyber cafes I know engaged in these crimes. I know some people who are engaged in these crimes and I have written to the CIA and the Interpol, but they did not reply. So, I published that people should ignore these Internet Scam spam and have anti-spam filters to prevent such Internet scam e-mails from flooding their e-mail boxes.
In Nigeria, we call those engaged in the Internet Scams "Yahoo-Yahoo", because 99% of them use Yahoo e-mail accounts and we see them at work in numerous cyber cafes in Lagos and other cities all over Nigeria. They work everyday and night and prefer working overnight to make sure that others will not disturb, distract or interrupt them as they use chicanery and flattery to swindle and defraud their ignorant, gullible and greedy foreign targets who are mostly Americans and Europeans.
These Internet Scams can be stopped once and for all if the Americans and Europeans and other foreigners stop being GREEDY, IGNORANT and GULLIBLE and if the CIA, FBI and INTERPOL can do their work accordingly.
Yours faithfully,
Orikinla Osinachi.

Phishing is the act of tricking someone into giving them confidential information or tricking them into doing something that they normally wouldn’t do or shouldn’t do.
